Exactly. Masks work, that’s why they wear them
As I wrote here a couple of days ago. I agree with your point.
There are many face-mask making sites from Japan where they show how to make effective DIY masks. This is a regular discussion on Japanese TV at the moment (my wife watches it live). The homemade masks are quite effective as long as they are handled properly — they show that a lot on TV as well.
