Strengthening of the diaphragm was one the benefits I gained from running in a mask - "Three Benefits After Running 5km Daily 138 Times In A Mask". We had a long restrictive lockdown which has just been relaxed. I can now get more air with less effort and even nasal breathe - which I could not do before.
