Not so much regarding my wife, as she understands, but my nine-year-old has a very regular fixed schedule and sometimes it is hard to give her attention.

Besides her regular school hours she has after-school abacus classes, karate 5 nights a week (I take her for those), and Japanese school all-day Saturday. her main time to chat is about 8pm each night, and I’m usually trying to finish something and not stay up too late.

I hate staying up too late as I like to get a solid night’s sleep.

So I need the distance for a while at that evening period, and she needs the love.

That’s something I’m still working out. Sounds simple enough, make a schedule, get things done earlier etc. But I haven’t mastered it.

Thanks for your article.
